The Army is seriously considering going back to pinks and greens. Gosh, I hope so.

Oh, Lord, I hope so. Last time we had a uniform that made soldiers want to be seen in it!

I went in with those Pinks and Greens, and less than a year later, we eased into the new green uniforms. The old "pink" trousers were great looking - even when bloused with Corchran jump boots. So, what comes around now goes around.
This is a plus for the officers....and it seems that they have also gone back to being a "brown shoe" Army.

IMHO, the only thing they need to change in the current uniform is the headwear. The dark blue blouse and lighter pants are very attractive and symbolic.

Jesse: That's used to be the dress uniform. I always thought it looked like a cut rate Marine uniform.

It does (look like a cut rate Marine uni, IMO).

Pinks and Greens:

Everyone has their own taste. I do like the Pinks and Greens. The Blues needs to remain as the Dress Blues for semi-formal wear.

The major is wearing a Pregnancy frock.

I also read they are bringing back the garrison cap altho with rounded ends rather than the points. I always liked wearing the garrison cap...very cool when worn with aviator sunglasses. Had a cool nickname that can't be used here, too.

Now, if they'd just revive the summer tans...

I take it you mean the formal dress uniform. I guess I watch too many movies of the cavalry chasing Indians as a kid. The Marine have a lot of red and white in their uniform that sets it apart. The beret for those who did not do something special to earn it needs to go.
