Truthfully, the scratch in the plastic rear bumper trim came from the brier bush that can be seen in one of the pictures. When the vehicle was pulled by the tractor, the briers scratched the cheesy Swedish trim below the bumper. I'll blame the damned Swedes for the minor scratches. Bux

A gathering with this group would not be the same if someone didn’t get stuck with their car or someone falling off a fence from to much booze, or someone just escaping splitting their head open from missing the first step on the stoop. Nope.... it just wouldn’t be the same. A fine bunch you are!

That's it, Tony has it.

It wouldnt be a GOTC without some mishap followed by some good laughs and a little embarrassment.
We've all been there...on both sides.

Au contraire I cannot ignore the fact that I alone bogged the frigging Volvo in the wet grass. The Swedish vehicle was carefully designed to cope with the "off road" parking lot at Trader Joe's, Dean & DeLuca and Costco. It can also handle parking near trendy restaurants, from Thai to Sicilian.
It was embarrassing to schlep through the weeds to find help to get the damned Volvo on solid turf...I knew Gilmore would be "busting my balls" as soon as he showed up with others....just as I would have, if Doug had been stuck. Thus, all's well that ends well. Thanks for all the help gang....I owe you!
LOL, Bux

The record of posts in this thread clearly shows that it was not I who brought up the subject or who first maligned the other. I am a man of my word.

My last word on this tempest in a teacup has been written.

FWIW, the only mark left on the car was the small scratch Doug's forehead left while slipping as the Volvo came unstuck.

Minor damage. I envisioned worse when I heard about Doug's head and the bumper.

I did that to CO Native's truck once. Doug's head appears larger than mine.

Douglas did nothing to the Volvo...beyond loudly pontificating about the situation, the turf, the original driver and how it should never have happened ....and would not have happened, had he been in the driver's seat, and in charge, from the very beginning.
I think Douglas was somewhat disappointed that he didn't have a hard hat and some sort of voice amplifier, and a blaze orange vest to better organize everyone else.
It was certainly a first class display of ad lib supervision.
Should I even get stuck again, I'll know whom to call....I've programmed the emergency number.
