Now that I've been taught how to use Flickr (thanks again) here's a shot my sister-in law took. I'm fishing the tailout of the Middledam Pool. She calls it "John and the Universe."

No way to tell, but he's far from the oldest (biggest) brookie in that river. Local taxonomists are trying to identify Rapid River brookies as a separate subspecies and qualify them for endangered status. They are under pressure from illegally introduced smallmouth bass, which prey on brookie fry and fingerlings.

That particular fish is still in the river, still growing. Go introduce yourself!
