Nothing like that sort of encouragement when you are 85 and into your second martini...whilst planning on the trout fishing on Tuesday next... and the lunch with pals on Wednesday next at the neighborhood Thai restaurant.
Ignore the frigging downers !!!! Go down in flames, throttle to the wall.... later.

New England cemeteries are a treasure trove of epitaphs. One of my favorites:

Here beneath this stone we lie,
Back to back, my wife and I.
And when the angel's trump shall trill,
If she gets up, then I'll lie still.
