Learned today while completing some training at work:

Only 30 percent of a persons decision making is rational. This is when a persons thinking is logical, makes sense, considers the best deal or fair choice, considers and weighs all facts, and identifies a good option or what is the best option and path of least resistance.

The other 70 percent is based on emotion such a hope, loneliness, skepticism, intimacy, cynicism, joy, friendship, impulsiveness, companionship, boredom, pride, and curiosity.

When it comes to customers, feelings are facts. I am led to believe that we as human beings still have a long way to go in our evolution into becoming a more rational species.

Most decisions are made emotionally in the first few seconds...most of the time after that is figuring out how to justify it...
