Obviously winter isn't over for many of you yet. Colorado yesterday and moving in on the Midwest and then on to Further North and Satchel and finally most of you by the weekend. Stay safe.

72 yesterday. Sat on the porch with a glass of Rye and the dog and watched the sun dip behind the purple hued clouds hovering over Boyd Mountain.

73 right now. Maybe some frost Sunday morning.

The groundhog here was okay. The one up north should be shot (or rather, those people who think a groundhog can predict weather should be shot - those people vote...scary).

Started raining here yesterday, all day today and most of tomorrow.

Going to be interesting as it's on top of about 3' of snow that's going to melt on contact and start running downhill.

All the snow/ice is gone. Now if the ground would thaw and let the water drain.Monday was almost 50,yesterday we hit 57,today 48.Thats spring enough for me so far.If we get some rain to clear the salt/sand off the roads the bike will be out soon.Started it yesterday, all set to go.Fishing is right around the corner.

Some Georgians have adopted the 'Ground Hogs' since they felt left out with the largely Northern tradition....but, like most other things they've gotten the dates, times and rules screwed up.
Douglas: Look up 'WOODCHUCKS" and then get back to us. Bux

Funk and Wagnalls has a picture of you, Edward, with the caption "Typical New York Woodchuck."

Douglas,

You likely have the Georgia edition of the Funk & Wagtails ....the one with the large print and the pictures. ;)

Played golf on Tuesday in shorts and tee shirt. Then overnight, rain came in and then the wind from the north and the rain turned to snow.
Very slushy and poor visibility.
Funny that all of the schools, city and county government closed, but the little Chinese girls at our favorite Asian bistro were at work and making deliveries.

It is the Eastern planes that took a beating. Hundreds of stranded motorists. Many around the small towns on the plains. A large portion were stranded on the highways because of their own stupidity. They drove around the road closed barriers and then got stuck. Personally, I'd leave them all there, but NOOOOO, good people have to risk their lives to get them out. Then they have the nerve to bitch on TV because they have no way to get their cars and are being charged for the tow companies to go get them.

Still really windy, but should be in the 50's again on Sunday.
