John Macko and I made the trip to Jacob's Creek today (11/14/17) . Temps in the high 30s to high 40s, no rain or wind, but damp and chilly - only our feet got cold...my feet are still cold as I treat myself to some libations from the Isle of Islay.

Everything happened before the lunch break...we started a little before 9 and broke for lunch at 1230.
Three browns between 15" and 18" each on a yellow bodied #14 caddis. Add to that 6 Brookies 10" to 12".
John had about the same report, but one less brown and one more Brookie.

After lunch until closing...zilch! We saw fish, but there was zero interest. IPW, Prince and other nymphs, wets and dries...nada, no interest beyond a few quick looks and a disinterested turn-away. We packed it in at 3:30 and drove home....discussed maybe one or two more shots before snow and 2018.

"Hope springs eternal."

Meanwhile, our season is just getting a good start. Only one fish over 6 pounds so far though.

Hey! Uncle Jesse....what does the table show for this coming Wednesday, 11/29?

John Macko and I are off for another day on the waters...possibly the finale for 2017, but who knows. The weather is still semi-balmy around here.
At the same time, up in the North Country, JD is stacking up venison to get him through until next autumn.
No reason for you kids to crawl under the covers and wait for spring.
