Get sturdy shoes that fit, lace them tightly and pick up your feet when walking....stride. Tell your "friend" to quit shuffling, shambling and skipping. A wading staff while fishing or a cane will help resolve your problem.

I think the Electoral College works just fine. There is the occasional electile dysfunction, but it works most of the time.
