"Ain't That a Shame" was the first rock-n-roll song I remember hearing (on WINS in 1955.) I was a high school senior. The other two songs were "Maybelline" by Chuck Berry and "Tutti Frutti" by Little Richard. Chuck Berry just died, now Fats. Little Richard is still around - I can't believe they lived this long.

We've lost a number of them in the last year. Greg Allman, Tom Petty, Troy Gentry, Glenn Campbell, Don Williams, Chuck Berry, Larry Coryell, Walter Becker, Al Jarreau, Butch Trucks. Man, soon they're all gonna be gone. I grew up on a lot of those guys. There are some new ones that are doing it right. Do not lose heart. if you want my current list of really good musicians let me know. I'll send you a list of those I'm listening to.
