I was never banned, but was suspended by a heavy-handed moderator...Mike Wsomething.

Pretty much never went back...couldn't stand the awful political bias and the anti-gun drum beat...and the absolute marching in lock-step with the GlobalWarmingCoolingClimateChange Nazis...

You guys tend to be biased the other way, politically...but it's not overt and you're open to logic and rational thought... ;)

Much more relaxing.

I think Wetdog was the moderator who banned many of us. I don't think George K was a moderator at that time. When he did become one, Wetdog got banned. I'm surprised by how George K described this board in the posted thread. It seems out of character for him.

Honestly, I don't remember that George K guy from back in the day, so I wouldn't know.

After The Lodge lost all of its history, I joined up under another name and posted civilly, but from a conservative viewpoint. It was kind of fun for awhile. There were some who wanted me banned, but the then mods refused to do it. George K was one of the mods who defended my posts. I very rarely go to that board any more , though, and have not been posting there.

What was that big long post called in the lodge, the thing went on for well over a hundred pages. A guy called Outdoorsmen used to post on there and he'd have hidden links in his posts and if you hit on one, a nudie would pop up. He was banned a few times for that but they always let him back. I think they missed his pictures.

Since they're talking about it, I was never banned for anything I posted. I was banned, without notice, when I posted a want ad on this site to see if it was working. The ad was for a used and slightly abused website. I fairly sure Wetdog did it. Boy, he turned out to be a mendacious so and so.

It is very easy to be mendacious (i had to look that up) from a keyboard.

Tom, considering the Merriam Webster dictionary of the word I suspect its use has been restricted my most national broadcast networks, especially when discussing or reporting upon politicians.

Wet Dog was a total donkey...other than that, I recall zero, nada, zip, about that old site...I'm surprised it still exists.
