I spent Tuesday night/Wednesday morning standing outside at the "The Hub", aka FedEx's sorting center in Memphis, observing cargo screening operations. It was reported to be ~6 degrees F at the time. I was dressed for winter in San Antonio, as that was all I had with me. Canton has nothing on me. Worked from 10PM -2 AM that way. I refused coffee because I wanted to be able to sleep for a few hours before the boardroom meeting the next morning.

Tony, I was talking about the sissies here who can't handle 2 to 3 weeks of cold a year. You folk up north don't just have to deal with longer weeks of sustained cold, worse - the darn sun doesn't shine and the days are shorter.

The worst weeks of the year are the ones from the end of DST to December 21st. Shortest days and the sun sets earlier every day...

...after that, I can deal with the cold...it'll go away, and every day is longer than the one before it.
