The docs tell me I should eat more fiber, so I looked up "high fiber food" on Google and saw that apples fall into the group. So, trying to eat healthier, I bought an apple pie at the store a little while ago.

Good on ya Colston. Start out with little steps. Get some apple butter and have that on your toast in the morning. Eat lots of beans early in the week. Don't eat beans late in the week when your likely to see the Librarian in a day or two.... just sayin.

Did it have a “whole wheat” crust? That would be a “two-fer”.

Fruit should be eaten raw and on an empty stomach.

Is bourbon considered a fruit?

Bought a raw vegetable tray at Costco yesterday. Small yellow and red peppers, cauliflower and broccoli sprouts, green snap beans and small carrots. In the center was a cream dip (heavy on the horseradish*). I'd recommend it with the understanding that you remain at home and avoid others.

Follow-up:
I added a bit of garlic paste to zip-up the mix...it tasted better but the advice to stay away from others is reinforced.

Very nice eight-point rack. I trust you let him hang for a while before butchering to ease off some of the rankness of an older buck in rut.
JD got his again this year, It was a "basket rack" six-point.
I still miss the annual trip to the Adirondacks to hunt with the old gang at the Stillwater Club.
That said,I don't miss freezing my arse off in the snow and single digit temp's of the "Big Woods".
