OK this is just too funny. Very thankful I do not have to face job applicants these day, or worse be a business owner who does their own hiring. These ARE current people looking for work with great expectations!

I'm with you Charlie. So glad I'm retired now and no longer have to worry about hiring and firing employees.

They aren't that bad...most of 'em anyway...but that was funny.

...if I have one ongoing, continuous problem with millennials, it is the overuse of e-mail and the expected instant response to anything they send that way.

I am often away from my office for hours at a time, e-,ails often get looked at long after they've left for the day...and they just don't seem to be able to wrap their heads around this concept.

They will eventually grow up - every generation does. I remember when Gen-X'ers were coming of age in the early 1980s and what were they doing back then? Talking like Valley Girls, dressing like New Wavers, owning pet rocks, and idolizing MTV. Every generation begins with its stupid habits that it eventually grows out of.

Well said...and some of them grow out of earlier...or never get there in the first place.

I work with a young lady who is 27 and is very buttoned up, personally and professionally. My daughter, at 19, is way ahead of lots of people 10 years her senior...she won't even answer her phone when she's driving...much less text...
