I'm enduring "prep day" before a colonoscopy tomorrow. I haven't reached the throne sitting part but have started the "no food" part. Dern it's irritating. It's not so much hunger as no being able to indulge the habit of eating something solid when I get a hunger pang. By the time The Librarian picks me up to go to the hoispital tomorrow I will be in about as good a mood as a bear with a bee on its donkey.

I had heard horror stories, but it wasn't so bad.

Squire,
You came to the wrong place for sympathy.
We already know you are a ninny, why broadcast it? All of us have gone through that prep and exam at least once and know it's just a minor inconvenience....What I was told about about JAG officers in the late 1950s was correct then, but you are proving it is a lifetime characteristic/trait even when one has changed to mufti. For heaven's sake, grow a pair and quit whining.
Betcha Coley is embarrassed about this public display...you now have indoor plumbing in the Northern Neck..don't you?

If it will make you feel better, a cold caused me left ear to block and become useless on Saturday. Unblocking it caused me to rupture that eardrum. I now can hear very little other than ringing in both ears that is not far below air raid siren levels and my already weak balance is a bigger problem. Meanwhile, the cold continues to get worse, not better.

I have no sympathy for you. Empathy, yes, but no sympathy.

And I remain grateful at looking at the green side of the grass.

Brad

Had known you folks thought me a ninny, I'd have left you alone long ago. Sorry to have troubled you.

Bux is not 'folks' just a folk. I've been lucky to not need one but I know those who have and the discomfort and indignity is not easily dismissed.

Michael: My point was that it isn't actual hunger but not being able to eat as one habitually does that is disconcerting. It was a thought that was new to me.

Squire,

When you find yourself in a hole, it is best to stop digging. LOL

Glad you've put down the shovel and are going fishing.
