The stick arrived here today. I'm gifting it for Christmas. We'll see how she likes it

Stick of meat? A tomahawk steak (frenched bone-in ribeye)? Or is this "meat stick" thing just a crudely chosen euphemism. But if it is about the ribeye steak, who's familiar with the rolled ribeye cap steak? I've yet to try one but the cap piece of the ribeye is about as good as it gets. Apparently, Costco occasionally carries them but I've no Costco nearby.

I've had the pleasure of trying one when I was at a friend's house in Nebraska (he was a beef grower). It was outstanding. Tender as a filet with 10 the flavor.

I've never been able to find any here and was told if I did, I would NOT be happy about the price.

Yes, you will pay for a ribeye cap steak, but they are supposed to be amazing. I will be on the lookout for one.

This was about a plain old ribeye, but I pulled the original post because the photos were too big.

Another ribeye, with a nice salad, is on the menu tonight.
