What a shame. He is a lock for the hall of fame. Cy Young in both leagues.

RIP

He went to HS here at Arvada West, so it's been overkill on the news locally. They are interviewing all of his old HS buddies and coaches.

At first was I sad to hear, but now I'm just tired of hearing about it.

As an old pilot, the things I saw rookie and new-bee "pilots" try to do never ceased to amaze me.
I always taught my students to pay attention to the basics - ALWAYs!
Running out of airspeed, altitude, fuel or options will, each one, bite you.
Altitude above, fuel on the ground, airspeed lost and corrective actions unavailable are useless.

The guy didn't have much time in the air... just enough to get cocky ... then he augered it in.

Damned shame....but some other guy will do the same thing next week....proving that...

"There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there a very few old, bold pilots."
