The recipe was on the old board, but is no longer available. I'm taken with that fly and hope you'll repost the recipe, with pictures if possible.

Hook: Mustad 3906B or any 1X Long 1X Heavy wet fly hook, size 8-18.
Thread: Black or color to match floss.
Underbody: Flat Gold tinsel
Body: Floss any color
Rib: Fine gold wire
Thorax: Hare's ear or any dubbing to match floss color.
Hackle: Gray or Brown Partridge, Grouse, pheasant or hen body feather.

Secure hook and wrap thread back to above the hook barb.
Tie in tinsel, floss and gold wire. Leave a tag of floss long enough to be folded forward to behind the hook eye.
Wrap thread forward to a tie in point behind eye leaving enough room for thorax and hackle.
Wrap tinsel for 2-3 wraps down hook bend then forward and tie off, be sure to leave enough room behind eye for thorax and hackle.
Wrap Floss forward and tie off.
Fold the floss tag forward on top of the wrapped floss and tie off. This prevents the floss from slipping down the hook bend.
Counter wind gold wire 4-6 wraps creating a rib and it also binds everything down.
Small pinch of dubbing, half of what you think you will need, no more than two wraps in front of body.
Tie in hackle by the tip, forward, shiny side up, wrap 1-1 1/2 times, fold tip back tie off, clip off excess hackle and whip finish.

Good Luck.

There you go Gene. As soon as you learn to tie the knots required to keep the fly firmly attached your tippet, you'll be in business. Neilson claims that you still use brass snap-swivels. I gather that's fine with wet flies and streamers so ....your call, stay the course.

I had hope to get validation for my tying skills, but it appears that Certain Members are heartless and cold. Typical. However, as I respect Bux, I'll forget it this once. It pains me to do so, but I'm that kind of guy.
