Got the last pre-GOTC fly order in today...black caddises. I'm loaded and ready to roll. Don't know what I'll do with myself for the next 48 hours.

You retired people. I haven't even dug out my stuff yet. Susan has the Lasagna in the freezer and she baked the pecan pies today. All I've packed are a few bottles of whisky.

Well, I still have to go grocery and whiskey shopping. I didn't want to get the supplies and have to store them too long.

I'm putting the pork into the marinade Wednesday p.m. and keeping it refriferted. It should be righteous by Saturday p.m. Jayne and I welcome your input on the cooking. We thought we'd grill it a bit and then finish it in the oven.

I'm doing Thursday dinner precisely so I won't have to listen to all the whining evaluations that my efforts fell so far short of those from beloved Georgia on my mind and God's own Jeffersonian Virginia. The wine, whisky and gin will be excellent....I'm so confident, that I cancelled the scantily clad girls that dance on the tables during coffee and dessert. Truthfully, I was worried that John Roach would get out of hand.

William Byrd !! of Westover noted in his diary that he enjoyed a "buttery" menhaden. Jeez-axx, even a Japanese wouldn't eat menhaden.

I agree...I've got a year and a couple months to reach that plateau...and retired people are going to make crabby in exponential increments until then...

If you're planning on grilling make sure the tanks are full. They weren't when Gregg and I tried last year.

Is it just me or does it seem that too many of the meal, spirits and dinner providers are getting their excuses ready should they trip over their earlier loud-mouth promises?
The chicken, wine and sides that I will serve will shine...nary an excuse.
Doug isn't fussing either....of course, Susan is calling the shots and she knows what she is doing.
Doug will of course say the blessing....that's how Georgians dodge responsibility I'm told.
