Last night, after several drinks, I decided to tie some flies. Got one, really ugly one finished. I should have known when I had trouble putting the tying thread into the big loop on my threader that I oughtn't be tying flies.

Squire,

There is a "plus" in all this....while you were fumbling with the thread and the vise, you weren't on the road trying to keep your vehicle to the right side of the center line.

So now you have a cripple . . . or a malformed bug, or whatever. That’s just easier “prey” - natural selection, you know. When a big fish takes that one away from you, you’ll wish you had tied 3 or 4 more of them.

Hahaha - just the other night I stripped some thread and feathers off of some hooks that were from a session of fly tying with my good friend Weller.

I'm still wondering how I got that much head cement to stick on the hook
