I suppose there may be a last minute snafu or two, but it looks like we've now got the train back on the tracks earlier than usual...the learning curve for older fishermen often approaches infinity...maybe we are getting better as we age...or, more likely, we simply can't remember diddily -squat...and just smile and inanely go with the flow. :D

I applaud you fellas, and ladies. Thank you for sticking with it. I've only been able to make it periodically and love every minute of it when I do. I have to book my vacation weeks for the coming year in Nov. I take a shot and it usually doesn't work out. It didn't this year. My loss. Please stick with it. Maybe someday in my retirement, (3 years plus from now) I'll be able to instigate a GOTC. Until then I must sit on the sidelines and watch the tradition carry on. I'm so very glad it is.

ALERT: The final half of your rental fee should be in the mail. It is now 30 days until we arrive at the Granary at Meadow Lane.
Looking forward to that weekend...in no particular order....the gang, the river, the setting, the trout and the sense that the 2018 "trout season" is truly upon us.

Updated news! Another "original regular" has just cut himself some slack from work and will be joining us!
Wade Caler is coming down to Virginia to further the long list of GOTC regulars that make our annual fishing get together a legion affair! He'll fill out our available bunks in the Granary. He'll provide some spirits and enthusiasm as he always has in the past. This year, I promise to out fish him...without chumming.

So how many people do we have now? I only ask because I need to know exactly how many vienna sausage and mustard sardine cans to bring for Friday night dinner.

Some guy named Wade called me last night. Still don't know who he was. He claimed to know me.

Get the BBQ flavor Vienna Sausages and Coles has a nice smoked rainbow trout in a can. Don't forget the saltines.
